Music Within

Ps. 150
Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the soundings of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre.
Praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him wit the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath prise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Music is one of the many ways we can praise God. This happens to be the most natural way, for me, to praise God.

Music is something that has been there for me since I was 10. Actually earlier then that, 10 is just the age I picked up my guitar and I haven't put it down since then. I cant sing to save my life, but that does not mean that I cant praise God with music. The trumpet, harp, lyre, strings, cymbals, these are just a few of the instruments we can use to praise God. My instrument of choice is strings.

My favorite thing to do is sit outside on a nice night with my guitar and look up to the stars and play guitar. Music is a powerful thing. I believe that music can save your life. I know it saved mine. The first time I truly felt God and let him in was during a song called Glory to God. The moment the singer sang 'take my life and let it be all for you and for your glory, take my life and let it be yours' I felt God telling me to give my life to him. To let go of all the pain, anger, confusion, that I felt and give it to him.

There are many ways to praise God. When I'm sitting outside playing my guitar, that's when I feel Gods presence stronger then ever. I know he is listing to me, and he loves it, no matter how bad I play.

We all have that power inside of us to Praise God. Find the way that you feel closest to him when praising. I have found mine. Have you?

Praise God always!

                                                             God bless <3

                                                                    Love,
                                                                       Heaven April
